Poetry: Gun control
It's my given right to bear arms
Lately, it seems like people are scared
To own a gun, but when it's a life
Or death situation, you'll wish that

Millions of people are in a crowded street in Times Circle. The people are waiting to bring in the New Year in Old York City. This is a tradition passed along throughout the generations, and we are waiting for the ball to drop.

Flash Fiction: The Lines Are Down
Officer James, looking back on your career what would you say is the worst criminal you've come across? Well, there's been a lot of them in the past, but one stands out to me. His name was Thomas Downs and he was a cereal rapist. He was driving all over the city bringing terror to his victims. Thomas was a loner and he wasn't very good with women.

Tips to Make Your Writing Better
Writing is a skill that constantly needs adjusting. I want to give a couple of writing tips to all you aspiring writers. Try to focus on improving your style, grammar, and punctuation. I've noticed a trend among writers that are new to freelance writing. They seem to think that what they learned in high school and college applies to online content. This becomes a problem because these are two different styles of writing. In school, they will teach you a very formal way of writing.

The Truth About Freelance Writing
Working a conventional job is something most people dread. Waking up early in the morning, and all the long hours can have you worn out by the end of the day. I've been fortunate enough to pick up freelance writing as a career change. I started out working at home for a couple of online sites. The money isn't what I thought it would be, and it took so long to see any views.

My Site Was Hit With Negative SEO
Negative SEO is a fairly common thing among popular websites. If you're not familiar with negative SEO, it's when you purposely link a competitors site to low quality websites. I thought that my site was in the clear, but I guess I was wrong.
Recently, I've noticed in my Blogger account that there are links from porn sites. The spammers are just going crazy with these tactics to pull other bloggers down with them. My competitors are trying to destroy my rankings in Google by doing this, but I will just use the disavow links tool.

Why I'm Not A Pet Lover
As a kid, I was pretty fond of pets, but I wouldn't call myself a pet lover. I had a couple of cats and one dog. I also have some pets at my house and I just got a new dog. I've been having a difficult time trying to train him not to poop on the floor. I want him to wait until I take him outside. I'm a caring person and I know pets can't speak English, but sometimes I get frustrated. I've noticed this new dog likes to tear up a lot of my things.

How to Save Money In This Struggling Economy
Many people are left to fend for themselves in America. A change has swept the land and jobs are scarce. Before this recession, I would go out and spend money, but now I'm very frugal. The thought of dining out at a restaurant is just out of my budget. I've found other ways to keep myself afloat.

Mturk Review
I've been hearing a lot of buzz about the Mturk site, so I wanted to write a review. When you first sign up it's through an Amazon account. Mturk will review your application and it takes up to 48 hours to be accepted. I've heard that Mturk is only accepting U.S applications, but this could change in the future. I'm assuming that you've been accepted, so it's time to get to work. You can choose "hits", which is what Mturk calls jobs. The hits are pretty easy to complete, and they range in price.

Make Money Online: Textbroker Review
If you're like me and you need some extra cash, then look no further. Textbroker is an online place where you get paid to work at home. The first thing you have to do is sign-up and submit a writing sample. Textbroker follows the AP (Associated Press) style guide, so study that if you want a good score. There isn't a 1-star rating and if you receive a 1-star it means you can't work for Textbroker. The entire process to be reviewed takes about a week.
