Motorola Xoom Review
The Motorola Xoom has a 10.1-inch display with a dual core processor. Along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, this makes it perfect for chatting with your friends. On the back of the device, it has a 5-megapixel camera, dual led flash and the speaker grills. The Xoom is powered by NVidia’s dual core Tegra 2 processor and an eight core mobile GPU.
Located at the bottom of the Xoom has a charging port, mini HDMI output and a micro USB port. The downside to the Motorola Xoom is the device cannot be charged using the micro USB port. The top of the device has a sim card slot for storage space and the 3mm headphone jack. The performance of the Xoom is solid it can run most videos and games without any lag whatsoever.
The user interface is good, but there are times of slow down and unresponsiveness. This could be due to the android Honeycomb firmware that is installed on the device. Web browsing on the Xoom is fast and there are hardly any glitches. Pages load fast without stuttering and the pinching zoom feature is very responsive.
In sunlight, the display is very difficult to read and it’s a fingerprint magnet. Overall, the Motorola Xoom is on par with the iPad because of its fast processing speed. I would definitely recommend this product to someone who is looking for a mid-range tablet.
