Poetry: The Cons of Having an Instagram Account

Have we become a society
Obsessed with our Instagram accounts?
It seems, vanity, has locked herself in the bathroom
And she doesn't wanna come out
I figure I'd write this poem
To point this out
Taking pictures of cars, clothes, and cash
When did this become a fad?
Take a snapshot of the food on your plate
How bout taking pictures of diplomas
Degrees, something that's holding weight
Wait, I get it, you prefer to look ridiculous
Borrowing your homie's ride
Besides, they don't know you ain't living like this
The deception is out of this world
Bugged eyed girls
Who look like they never blink
I don't wanna see another girl
Propped, on top of the sink
I just want you people to think
Flossin' with money that you haven't earned
While you stand in the welfare line
Patiently waiting your turn
