Poetry: Marijuana Legalization
To me that seems excessive
Being thrown in jail for a plant
We ask for marijuana legalization
To help those who are facing
Hard time for a crime
That carries 5 to 10
A nick and a dime
When will America learn
You can't control the world
We've earned the right
To take control of our life
If we choose to dabble
In weed, stems, and seeds
Who are you to say no?
Soon, you'll see the day
When green is all in your face
Skunk is in the air
We don't care if it's not okay
While we give you blank stares
Stuck to our chairs
But we won't pass the J your way
