Poetry: Money Talks

If money talks does it talk with a lisp?
I was told that it can't buy happiness
If you owe your friends a bill
You'll be ducking them still
And I know you're bluffing, when
Asked how much of it you have
You just laugh and say " I'm the sh*t."
What makes us do this?
Well who knows
A half of a human being
The rest is just a paper mold
All of our life we were told
If you don't make it
You don't grow
Is it taking our soul?
Or erasing our whole
Life is ticking away, OH NO
We've been  down this road
Society has some unusual demands
Money talks and bullsh*t walks
Yeah, I bet their holding hands
