Poetry: Secrets

I keep my secrets in a closet
Starved them from the truth
I only feed them lies
They never see the light of day

Hey, people judge me anyways
Those secrets have company
The skeletons chat it up
Secrets meet skeletons

Now, both of you shut up
What society doesn't know
It won't hurt, so keep quiet
Or both of you will be 6-feet under dirt

I need to maintain an image
To all my friends and family
I can't hold this in any longer

There's something I have to say
A secret isn't a secret
If its been shown the light of day
