Buyers Guide: Gaming Laptop

The gaming industry has been booming, and now most players have gone mobile. Laptop gaming has become one of the most prominent ways to pass time. I know what you're thinking, what do I look for when choosing a gaming laptop? There are a number of things that can make your gaming experience better. The first thing is the graphics card.

There are 3 major types of graphics cards that are out right now there's AMD, NVidia, and Intel graphics. The best card really depends on who you ask because there really is no best. You have to choose a card that's right for you. I've tried all three and in my opinion the AMD Radeon graphics seem to be more fluid when gaming. Nvidia has PhysX built in, but that's not really necessary. The Intel graphics are last on the list, because they tend to stutter while gaming.

The next thing that you should look for is the RAM( random access memory). The RAM can help the graphics card with intense scenes. When you purchase a laptop make sure to see what kind of RAM it has. Once again the higher the number the better it will perform. Hard drive is also important when you're gaming. A large hard drive can store many games, but an SSD(solid state drive) will make your computer load programs and games faster. I recommend buying an SSD if you are a person that doesn't like to wait. This upgrade will improve load times in games and programs.

The final thing to look for would be connectivity options. Most laptops today have an HDMI port, and this is very necessary if you want a bigger screen. I usually hook my games up to an external monitor because they look better than the laptop screen. These are some things to keep in mind when you purchase your next computer.
