What is Trenchless Sewer Line Repair?

What is trenchless sewer line repair and how does it affect me? Trenchless sewer line repair is the process of removing old clogged pipes, and replacing them with newer ones, without expensive digging. This process takes less time to complete, and it does not cost the property owner thousands of dollars. By doing so, you will save money and it cuts your costs in half.

The sewer line repair is necessary for homeowners that experience flooding in their basement and toilet. The trees roots in the front yard are the primary cause. Often these roots will block the sewage line, thus creating a foul smelling odor in your home. When you are thinking about purchasing a home, you want to be aware of any trees in the front yard. These trees could pose a potential threat as time goes on; the old clay pipes will crack or become backed-up.

Fixing the problem yourself is not advised because you will only make the situation worse. Call a professional plumber to help you alleviate the situation. These plumbers will create a new sewage line; this one would be impenetrable to the trees roots. A new pipe will be molded together into one solid piece by heating the two pieces together. The plumbers would remove the old clay pipes that were previously installed, and attach a cable to the new pipe.

The new pipe is pulled into place with the help of a hydraulic ram. The reason it is trenchless because normally the plumbing company would dig trenches to fix a clogged sewage line. This takes out the entire process of digging, and focuses on fixing the problem in a more timely fashion. The entire process is completed within a couple of days. Trenchless sewer line repair is effective in eliminating sewage build-up and the new pipes will last a lifetime.
