Poetry: Jordans
Woke up this morning, and I turned on the news
I was greeted with a story, that I couldn't refuse
It goes something like this, a kid dies over a pair of kicks
People wait in line for days, no showers, it's sick
The worst part of all is they buy them to look rich
Dudes don't even ball, they just walk around in them sh*ts
It's just a shoe, so why would you, take a life or two?
If you only knew, what that family goes through
Open your eyes to what we despise
Materialistic trends are based on what you can buy
Jordan, some say he's the best player alive
So, why does his name carry such a negative vibe?
Ride or die is the new attitude
People are getting robbed for a pair of shoes
I pray for the world to the day it grows old
He'll be in heaven because God has taken his soul
