Poetry: I Can't Breathe
I didn't know it was a crime to speak my mind
So many people died for being blind to the signs
I'm at a loss for words, I just guess I'm being shy
Blood shed in the streets is only way we comply
Add the lies on the news
Don't forget to subtract the truth
Divide the tears shed, and multiply the times we getting high
It equals a society trying to escape real life
Why do police feel free to disturb the peace?
Maybe it means they lack sympathy
When did the good guys become the enemy?
We're constantly being judged
That's the job for G-O-D
Cue the sarcasm, life is so promising
Help, I can't breathe
Because the government is choking me
