Poetry: Rotten to The Core
Picture a person who is so empty inside
Selfishness has taken hold of their precious soul
Dark clouds dance around a hole in their heart
You can see emptiness in their eyes
Lies on top of lies, and cries are suppressed
A text was sent to their feelings, but it wasn't received
Unhooked from the day to day life
Might as well be a robot
While this person may not have a beating heart
At the center of their core is an apple
The crackling fire cooks this rotten fruit
Mother Nature couldn't birth something so evil
With dreams of destruction things seem so feeble
This person only has one job on earth
It hurts to say that testing your faith is their duty
To leave you in the fetal position
Without God's hands to keep you safe
The absence of light is trickery at best
A rotten zombie that needs to be put to rest
This person has no heart
Yet, they're at the heart of all problems
