4K Ultra High Definition is a Lie

There's a lot of Internet buzz about 4k Ultra HD resolution TV's. There are numerous claims that it's 4 times clearer than 1920 X 1080, hence the name. I call BS because if you add 1920 X 1080 two times, you get 3840 x 2160.

That means the picture is only 2 times clearer, not 4 times. I don't know who made this mistake in math, but I don't want to point fingers. I haven't had a chance to see a 4k monitor in person, but I know it can't be that much better than 1080p.

I'm all for pushing technology, but at what point will it end? If 4k is clear, then what resolution is real life? How much clearer can we see TV before it starts to look microscopic? Will TV's be so clear you can see the bacteria on someone's face? That would be a bit too much, but man loves to push technology. You can't listen to the claims of these companies.

They just want you to buy their product. Samsung was guilty of this by saying their TV was LED back-lit, but in fact they only had LED's around the side of the monitor. Samsung's TV still was LCD backlit, not LED backlit. Companies will often bend the truth to get you to believe something that's not true.

Before you go out and buy something, make sure you research it first. What do you think about 4K TV's, and will you buy one in the future?
