Poetry: Power Tripping

How many of you trust your life
In another man's hands?
Give your vote
So another man can stand
Up for this country

It's something, we do so freely
Spending all this money
But never giving to the needy
What does America really need?
Are we getting it with Obama in office?

He talks a big game
But did he live up to his promises?
His health care plan
Has Americans having heart attacks
The premiums are too high

Just like the prices of crack
The war on drugs has dealt
A blow that we can't sniff
Stiff competition for jobs
When will the dark cloud lift?

Americans continue to fight
Is Obama power tripping
Or is he doing what's right?
