Will I figure out the truth
If I lie awake?
It's just me and you
Under the moon's rays
You're not perfect
That's what they say
If I had it my way
I'd bury all of your mistakes
In the backyard
It's so hard to forget your face
We own this moment
So hold it in your heart, love
I can't talk to you
Because you always want to spark up
You've been spending all your green
On buying green
I get left supporting
Your habit, gotta have it
First thing in the morning
It caused me so much pain

Sunny days
A bird and a rose
Run away with me
And never say "no."
When we part
Hide your tears, cuz they show
A side of you
That I've never known
Will we last?
Or become victims of the past?
It happened so fast
Trying to get a grip
I'm losing it, so bad
We can be together
Accept it, and don't look back
We're on egg shells
I hope we don't just crack
Packed away
Our memories
And everything, you meant to me
The good and bad
Sleeping back to back
When we're mad
We eventually attract
The attention we give

Throughout this relationship
All that I heard was "no's."
You were in and out of my life
Out of sight, before I had time
To change my clothes
Breaking my stride
Caused a divide
So I assume these wounds
Will take time to close
Oh, it's been on my mind
Plenty of times
Now, I choose sides
My heart or my soul
We dabbled in love
All the traveling, plus
It just wasn't enough...

Take time to hear me
My biggest fear being
A failure in this life
Which I fought for cause
I lost sight of us...
